Practice upward thinking by recognizing each situation, even the ones that seem to persuade you to go down, as indicators to choose to move up. Instead of following a thought or feeling that takes you down, say, “This is a situation in which I can choose again. And as I choose again, I will choose thoughts and feelings that are upward-focused. There is only one direction in truth, and that is up, always.” You want to follow guidance to move up rather than going down,
What we want is for you to understand that this ability to choose again is a gift from God to you. It is how to think with God. God never takes you down, but God always gives you inspiration to move up. It is your responsibility to recognize what does not align with the truth of upward thought. So, notice that these are points of transcendence where you don’t continue to go down, but you say, “Aha! This must be a point of transcendence–a point to choose again.”
We have said this many times, but the reason we are saying it again is that we really want you to practice this with passion, with conviction. Really get a handle on working in your mind, not feeling that you are a victim of anything in the world, but recognizing each circumstance as either love or a call for love. A call for love is a situation in which you need to choose again. We really want you to become focused and practiced in this, so that you don’t leave your mind open to interpretation by the ego. Learn to work with the One Mind, which is learning to work with God, and not with the little mind. Follow the guidance to upward thought and feeling. Are you going to listen to the voice of gentleness, which is the Holy Spirit, or the harsh, stress-inducing voice of the illusion–the ego? You have the ability to choose, and it is a gift. We love you. All is well. Namaste.
